Getting here

A world of tranquillity in the heart of the Marais

Behind the historic facade, everything has been redesigned to make the interior brighter and create a surprisingly tranquil world in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Paris. The rooms, completely soundproof, overlook a verdant patio and offer the rare privilege of being able to sleep with the window open.

The many references to hunting, the favourite activity of the illustrious people who frequented the former royal district of the Marais, liven up the establishment’s classic elegance. Other hunting-theme details are the intertwined horns at the entrance to the hotel or the fresco in the elevator, the work of a wildlife artist.

Under the glass dome of the indoor garden, the day gets off to a good start with a breakfast served near the fountains and ends peacefully, at the bar, comfortably settled in a Chesterfield sofa.

The Carmagnole and the cannons have been silent for a very long time at the Bastille, but this district has nonetheless remained one of the liveliest in the Capital!

With its Bassin de l'Arsenal and Pavillon de l'Architecture, its July Column symbolizing freedom, its ultramodern opera house and its streets that are bustling day and night, Bastille is Paris’s festive district. Action, concerts, fairs, markets, and events are constants here.

Surrounding the square, hundreds of bars offer a wide variety of musical styles and see a constant flow of customers. The most entertaining streets, Roquette or Harpe, are emblematic of the Parisian nightlife.

Further on along the Seine towards the west, is the Marais district.
